Of all the guns my
customers have brought by, my favorite one's have to be the one's that
tell a story.
The best stories usually start with "My
dad/grandfather/uncle brought this back from The War...".
Most of the time, it's a nice captured gun and,
while fun to look at, the story starts and ends there.
Every once in a great while, however, you have
someone whose family had the great foresight to save the paperwork:
Capture Papers.
The story may be great, but unless you have the
provenance, it just doesn't sell.
Fellow brought in Grandpa's gun. A very nice Walther
PPK with handmade field expediant holster (not shown), -2- magazines
(each serial numbered to the gun AND each serial numbered additionally
as
1 and
2, indicationg these are the
original mags that came with the gun) and best of all, ORIGINAL CAPTURE
PAPERS!
Generally, Capture Papers will add anywhere from
%30-50 to the value and even higher on some of the rarer guns.
